UCMJ LAWYER IN PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE

Personnel of the armed forces are sworn to protect their country from aggression. But sometimes, they fall victim themselves to malicious criminal cases.

If you are in the U.S military and if you are ever charged with a criminal case, rest assured that the military will provide you with a defense lawyer. These defense lawyers are often overworked and supported by minimal staff. They work hard, but sometimes it is just not enough to get an acquittal.

Joseph Jordan has been providing legal services to enlisted men and women stationed in bases all over the country and abroad. He has years of experience in military criminal defense and has worked with many personnel of the army, navy, air force and other sections of the armed forces from criminal cases. He is also a Peterson AFB criminal defense lawyer and has successfully defended many air force personnel from Peterson AFB in criminal cases they were wrongly accused of.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, COLORADO

The roots of the Peterson Air Force Base can be traced back to 1942, when the Colorado Springs Army Air Base (the United States Air Force was not born until 1947) was established at the Colorado Springs Municipal Airport.

The air force base takes its name from Lt. Edward Peterson. The Lt. was serving as an Operations Officer with the 14th Photo Reconnaissance Squadron during the 2nd World War. He was attempting to take off on a twin engine reconnaissance F4, when it crashed due to an engine failure. He was severely injured.

The fire department managed to save him from the wreckage and took him to a hospital immediately, but he succumbed to his injuries. Soon after, the base was renamed as Peterson Air Army Base in his memory.

In the 2nd World War, Peterson Air Force Base was used to train crewmen for heavy bombers like the B-4 Liberators. In the later part of the war, the air base trained fighter pilots for the P-40N Warhawks. During the Cold War, the base functioned as an air defense center. The air base was officially renamed Peterson Air Force Base in March 1976.
