Army, SSG, E-6 stationed in Belgium
E-6 stationed in Belgium was found guilty at an Article 15 for sexually assaulting a civilian female. Part of his punishment included rank reduction to E-5. He was on the E-7 promotion list. We filed a robust legal review requesting that the Article 15 be turned over or at the very least to allow our client to retain his rank. The Commander opted to allow him to keep his rank of SSG, E-5.
Article 120 is the military statute which defines rape, aggravated sexual assault, aggravated sexual contact, and abusive sexual contact. These offenses include different types of unlawful, forced sexual activities on another person. Charges related to sexual misconduct involving a minor fall under Article 120b.
