Ei Incumbit Probation Qui Dicit.

Proof lies on him who asserts, not on him who denies. The concept is that one is innocent until proven guilty. Regardless of what the law says about reasonable doubt, there is an unwritten presumption within the ranks of the military that if you are charged with sexual assault, then you are guilty. The stakes are your life! Your military counsel works for the same military that charged you. Consider that as you choose who represents you in your potentially life altering case.

A Brief Overview of Fort Knox

Every American solider in the armor force is familiar with Fort Knox, having served at least one stint here. The Fort is an Army Training and Doctrine Command centre and the Armor School used to be a critical component of this establishment as is the U.S Army Recruiting Command.

The history of Fort Knox can be traced back to 1918 when the War Department decided to build a permanent artillery camp in this location. The first units to arrive here belonged to the Camp Zachary Taylor and the 84 th Division Field Artillery Brigade. As the base's population grew in numbers, expansion took place here. The new post took on the name of General Henry Knox who was Chief of Artillery during the Revolutionary War. During WWI, Fort Knox officially came into being as a permanent military establishment.

When the Cavalry was mechanized and horses were replaced with armored vehicles, it was Fort Knox that became the headquarters for this new segment of the army. During World War II, Fort Knox was deemed as a fitting location for a Prisoner of War camp.

Today, post the 2005 BRAC announcements, Fort Knox is the base of the Human Resources Command, Cadet Command and the Army Accessions Command. The units stationed here include the 1 st Infantry Division, the 3 rd Brigade Combat Team, Army Reserve Readiness Training Center and the 100 th Division Headquarters. The Fort also holds pride of place as the United States Army's Human Resource Center of Excellence.
