Ei Incumbit Probation Qui Dicit.

Proof lies on him who asserts, not on him who denies. The concept is that one is innocent until proven guilty. Regardless of what the law says about reasonable doubt, there is an unwritten presumption within the ranks of the military that if you are charged with sexual assault, then you are guilty. The stakes are your life! Your military counsel works for the same military that charged you. Consider that as you choose who represents you in your potentially life altering case.

US Air Force

A Brief History and Overview of Patrick AFB

The Patrick Air Force base was established as the Naval Air Station Banana River in 1940. It is located on a barrier island between Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach in Florida's Brevard County. The base was initially a subordinate of the NAS Jacksonville, Florida, and was commissioned for anti-submarine patrol along the coast of Florida, during the World War II.

The transition of the base from a Naval Air Station to a US Air Force base took place in 1948. In 1950, the base was named Patrick Air Force Base in honor of Major General, Mason Patrick. In 1971, the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute was established at the base.

The air force base, which hosts the 45th Space Wing (45 SW), has supported historical space rocket launches. The officers and the airmen of the 45 SW manage all the launches of unmanned rockets and satellites for the US Army, the NSA, and the NRA. The base also supports NASA, the NOAA and international clients like the European Space Agency with its scientific payload launches.

Present Day Patrick AFB Community

The present day Patrick Air Force Base is home around 14,717 personnel. The base has three housing areas, besides the recreational housing facilities on the beach, enlisted clubs, a commissary, two chapels, a library and other facilities that cater to the leisure and recreational needs of the members. There is also an Air Force Space and Missile Museum at Cape Carneval Ari Force Station at the base.

In addition to the deployment support and readiness programs for airmen and their families, the Patrick AFB community also hosts fitness and health programs, and recreational events, and family support services. Patrick AFB may be a strong community, but the possibility of a small tiff on the field turning into an aggressive assault cannot be ruled out. While the crime rate in the air force base may have not reached an alarming level, active members of the base can face intricate punishments if proven guilty of an offense, unless they seek the services of a Patrick AFB UCMJ lawyer.
